Best Thing to Feed Sheep Runescape

Sheep are livestock that can be raised and bred at Manor Farm once unlocked at level 35 Farming. They can be kept in medium pens, which can be built at level 40 Construction, or the breeding pen, which can be built at level 55 Construction. Medium and breeding pens have capacities of four animals each. Their baby form can be purchased from Granny Potterington's Farmers' Market for 30 beans (after purchasing the deed to a medium pen). Sheep produce wool, with the specific item varying based on their breed. For example, a black ewe will produce black wool.

There are six different breeds of sheep in addition to the shiny golden ewe/ram. If a ewe and ram are bred during the day (between 09:00-21:00 UTC), they will normally produce a white ewe or ram. If bred overnight (21:00-09:00), they will produce a black ewe or ram. A further four breeds are dependent on the farm's current season, which include the springsheared ewe/ram, summerdown ewe/ram, fallfaced ewe/ram, and the winterwold ewe/ram.

Like all farm animals, they may have up to three traits, which determine their selling price in beans to buyers, among other effects, and can be sold on the Grand Exchange in their unchecked form. Once they have been checked, however, they may only be traded directly between players or sold to Ralph, the sheep hugger. Eight (16 with Master Farmer rank in Farming reputation) can be sold every two days.

Of the livestock that can be purchased from the Farmers' Market, selling sheep at the adolescent stage yields the highest profit at a base rate of 50 beans per animal after just 24 minutes. This means that a player can earn around 400 beans every two days, not including any bonuses or penalties. If sold at their elder stage, sheep are worth around 208 beans every two days, not including any bonuses or penalties.

Sheep may be fed vegetables, fruits, and flowers. The cheapest food to feed them is Woad leaf.png: RS3 Inventory image of Woad leaf Woad leaf obtainable in unlimited quantities from Wyson the gardener in Falador Park.
